The balance is all about consistency for me. Train hard, recover, keep your nutrition dialed in, and don’t treat cardio like punishment. 💯

I’m trying to preserve performance as much as possible during this cut. My goal isn’t to hit a new PR every week, but I still want my working sets to feel solid. I keep protein high, manage my calorie deficit, and adjust cardio gradually when needed. Some weeks the scale moves slower, but I’d rather look at the bigger picture than panic over a few days of progress. 🔥

One thing that helps me is keeping my daily steps consistent instead of constantly adding intense cardio. It’s easier to track, and I don’t feel as beat up. 👊

I rotate my cardio depending on the training day. On heavy leg days, I keep it easier, while upper-body days give me more flexibility. That way, I’m not stacking a brutal cardio session on top of an already demanding lower-body workout. I also pay attention to how my joints and energy feel instead of blindly following a number every day.

I’ve been using mostly incline walking and keeping my lifting routine pretty close to what I was doing before the cut. I don’t chase failure on every set, and I try to manage fatigue before it starts affecting my big lifts. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that staying leaner isn’t just about doing more work. You have to make sure you can recover from the work you’re already doing. 🏋️‍♂️

I prioritize lifting performance, protein, and sleep first. Cardio comes after that based on what my progress actually looks like. No need to turn every day into a marathon. 💪

For me, the hardest part is keeping leg training strong while adding cardio. Quads and hamstrings can feel smoked if I don’t space things out properly, so I pay more attention to where I place my cardio around lower-body days. 🔥

I do four lifting days with a few moderate cardio sessions throughout the week. Nothing crazy, just enough to support my activity and conditioning. I also keep an eye on my steps because they give me a consistent baseline without making every cardio session feel like another hard workout. Staying consistent has made the whole prep process feel less stressful. 🏃‍♂️

Exactly! I think a lot of people underestimate how important recovery becomes when you’re already lean. I’d rather keep training quality high and make gradual adjustments than burn myself out chasing faster weekly progress.

The biggest change for me was stopping the mindset that more cardio automatically means better results. I focus on keeping my main lifts productive, hitting my protein target, and using cardio as a tool instead of punishment. When recovery starts getting rough, I’d rather adjust the plan intelligently than keep piling on extra sessions. 💯
