Nutrition made the biggest difference in my physique, but training still gives you the stimulus to grow. You need a solid program, enough food to support your goal, and patience to let the results build. πŸ”₯ What's one nutrition change you'd tell a lifter who's been stuck at the same size and strength for months to try first?

Tracking my food for two weeks was an eye-opener. I thought I was eating plenty, but I was missing my protein target almost every day. A few simple changes made my routine much easier to stick with.

That's a solid point. I'm going to focus on consistent meals, protein, and recovery before changing my entire training split again. Sometimes we look for a complicated fix when the basics are right there in front of us. πŸ’ͺ

It depends on your goal. Calories help with fat loss, while smart programming and good technique are key for strength gains. πŸ’ͺ

Honestly, both matter, but nutrition exposed what I was doing wrong. I had a decent four-day lifting split, yet my meals were inconsistent and my protein intake was all over the place. Fixing those basics helped me train harder without constantly adding more sets or extra gym days.

Sleep was the missing piece for me. Once I started getting enough rest and eating properly, I wasn't dragging myself through every workout anymore. 😴

I'm glad you mentioned carbs because I used to think cutting them was the fastest way to get lean. Now I'm realizing that fueling hard training matters, too. It's about finding the right balance for your goal instead of cutting out entire food groups. πŸ’―

I kept my push-pull-legs routine the same and started eating in a small calorie surplus. Over the next few months, my body weight gradually increased, my recovery improved, and I finally started filling out my shirts. No crazy bulking, just consistent meals and progressive overload.

Carbs made a bigger difference than I expected. I used to train legs after eating barely anything, then wonder why my squat numbers weren't moving. Adding a decent pre-workout meal with carbs gave me way more energy for heavy sets. ⚑

I track protein and calories during a cut, but I don't obsess over every gram year-round. Keeping it simple makes the whole fitness lifestyle easier to maintain.
