At the end of the day, if you enjoy it and can afford it, why not? It won’t hurt you, but don’t expect it to replace real nutrition.

If you’re natty, your biggest bang-for-buck is sleep, diet, creatine and caffeine. EAAs/BCAAs are like… icing on the cake, not the cake itself.

Same here, I keep a hydration/EAA mix in my gym bag. Not for muscle gains, just for keeping energy up when it’s hot.

That’s actually interesting. Haven’t tried those blends yet. Maybe that makes more sense than just plain aminos.

I’ll admit tho, the new “hydration + EAA” blends hit different. You get salt, coconut water powder, aminos all in one. That combo is 🔥 for long sessions.

Facts. If money’s tight, skip both. Spend it on quality food or creatine. That’s the real ROI.

Bro EAAs is basically “whey broken down.” If you’re slamming shakes anyway, you’re literally double spending.

Good point. Might just be the hydration + electrolytes that make it feel useful mid-training.

I ran through a tub of BCAAs back in the day… zero difference. Switched to EAAs during prep and recovery felt smoother. Could’ve been diet though, not just the powder.

Not gonna lie though, sipping EAAs during workouts feels nice. Flavor + hydration keeps me locked in. Placebo or not, I like it.
