Sleep has made a bigger difference in my recovery than I expected. When I started getting consistent sleep, my legs weren't constantly feeling beat up and I could actually perform better in my next session.

I think social media makes women feel like every workout needs to be an all-out session. Sometimes a controlled workout where you leave with energy still in the tank is exactly what you need.

I also stopped comparing my progress to women online. Different genetics, training history, nutrition, and lifestyles make those comparisons pretty pointless.

Yes! Training hard doesn't mean training recklessly. I would rather have someone consistently complete good workouts for a year than go 100% for a month and burn themselves out.

For me, the best approach has been simple: train consistently, lift with good form, eat enough, recover properly, and give the process time. The results aren't overnight, but they're much easier to maintain when the routine actually fits your life.

The nutrition side gets overlooked too. I started eating enough protein and stopped being afraid of carbs around my training, and my workouts felt noticeably better.

I needed to hear this because I was convinced that being sore for three days meant I had a good workout 😂

Exactly. Soreness isn't the goal. If your reps, weight, technique, or control are improving over time, that's much more useful information.

Tracking my lifts made a huge difference. I can actually see that I'm progressing instead of judging my workout by how sore I am afterward.
