Progressive overload + better technique has been my biggest win this year. I used to chase heavier numbers even when my form was falling apart. Now I’m more focused on controlled reps, full range of motion, and gradually increasing the load. It’s slower, but I’m actually getting stronger instead of just moving heavier weight. 🏋️‍♂️🔥

Recovery has honestly been the missing piece for me. I used to think more workouts automatically meant more progress, so I was constantly tired and my lifts were stuck. Now I’m taking rest days seriously, eating enough, and giving my body time to recover. My strength has improved way more than I expected. 😴💪

For me it’s been a mix of strength training and explosive work. Adding box jumps, kettlebell swings, and other power movements has made my regular lifts feel stronger and more controlled. Definitely feels more athletic too.

I’m doing a 4-day upper/lower split right now and loving it. The biggest change wasn’t even the split itself—it was actually resting enough between heavy sets. I stopped rushing through workouts and my numbers started climbing again.

Machines made a bigger difference than I expected. I started using them more for accessories after my main lifts, and being able to push close to failure without worrying as much about stability has helped me build some serious strength. 🔥

Full-body training 3 days a week has worked surprisingly well for me.

I’ve had a similar experience with progressive overload. I stopped trying to add weight every single workout and started focusing more on small improvements—extra reps, cleaner form, or a little more weight when I was ready. It’s been much more sustainable. 💪

Honestly, just following an actual program instead of doing whatever I felt like that day 😂. I used to bounce between random workouts and barely tracked anything. Now I have a plan, and my strength is finally moving.

For me, it’s been heavier compound movements with lower reps. My squat and bench have both gone up quite a bit this year.
