For sure. Biggest takeaway for me was that resting early is way easier than recovering after you’ve made something worse. I’m still training hard, just not ignoring those little aches anymore.

Recovery days are underrated too. Sometimes the smartest move is getting out of the gym instead of trying to prove how hardcore you are. You’re not losing gains because you skipped pressing for a few days.

The frustrating part is that the pain usually isn’t even that bad at first. It’s just enough to notice. Then you keep training around it until your entire movement pattern gets jacked up.

I’ve started doing a quick warm-up with lighter sets before going heavy. If something feels off during the warm-up, I change the exercise instead of forcing it. Has saved me a couple times.

Big one for anyone pushing heavy compounds. Ego says finish the workout, body says dude, chill. 😂 I’d rather lose one workout than lose a month.

Exactly bro. That was basically my mistake. I kept thinking “it’s not THAT bad” until it became bad enough to mess with my whole training week. Definitely paying more attention to those little warning signs now.

I’ve gotten way better about distinguishing soreness from actual joint pain. Muscle soreness I can deal with. That sharp or weird pain around a joint? I’m shutting it down and figuring out what’s going on.

Shoulder pain is sneaky as hell. You can still move decent weight, so you convince yourself it’s nothing… then one day that little ache turns into well, guess I’m not benching this week. 😂

Yep, learned this one the hard way too. If something keeps nagging you for more than a few sessions, it’s usually worth backing off instead of trying to train through it.
