What about cardio? I do hill sprints 2x a week after 5/3/1. Anyone else mix that in?

Yes! Conditioning matters. I do sled pushes and jump rope after bench/squat days.

Do you guys run 5/3/1 straight year-round or cycle off?

I cycle off after 3–4 blocks. Do hypertrophy work for 4 weeks, then back to strength.

I do a deload week every 4th cycle. Keeps motivation and joints happy.

I prefer front squats on squat day—builds core and keeps form honest.

I follow the Beyond 5/3/1 book. The volume options are great for building size.

Just PR’d my bench this week. 5/3/1 works if you stick with it. Period.
