Now I realize that training hard is only half the battle. Getting enough protein, eating enough to fuel your workouts, and staying consistent with your meals matter just as much. I'm curious — what's the biggest nutrition mistake you made when you first started lifting, and what did you learn from it?

What’s Your Biggest Nutrition Mistake Since You Started Lifting? 🥗💪
When I first started lifting, I thought getting stronger was all about hitting the gym hard and pushing for PRs. I barely paid attention to what I ate, skipped meals when I got busy, and sometimes cut carbs because I wanted to stay lean.
Eventually, my energy dipped, recovery got harder, and my progress stalled.

Skipping breakfast before a heavy workout. I'd be gassed before I even finished my first few working sets.

I used to skip carbs and wonder why my lifts were stalling.

Mine was thinking protein shakes could make up for a bad diet. I'd down a shake after my workout but barely eat real food the rest of the day. Now I focus on balanced meals and use shakes when I'm short on time.

Honestly, I was trying to stay shredded all year while building muscle. I kept my calories too low, added extra cardio, and wondered why my lifts weren't moving.
Learning to fuel my training instead of chasing abs 24/7 changed everything.

I made nutrition way too complicated with strict meal plans and foods I didn't even enjoy. I'd be locked in all week, then completely fall off over the weekend. Now I keep my meals simple, hit my protein target, and leave room for foods I actually like. It's much easier to stay consistent.

My biggest mistake was switching diets every time a fitness influencer posted a new trick. One week I'd be bulking, the next I'd be cutting, and I never gave my body enough time to respond. Now I focus on progressive overload, proper recovery, and eating consistently. Real progress comes from sticking with the basics, not chasing every new trend.
