Oh, Ivo, where do I even start?
For me, it’s people who sit on machines scrolling through their phones. Like, I get it, we all need breaks, but come on! Use that time to hydrate or stretch, not to check Instagram while someone else is waiting to use the machine.

Yes, Jake! That drives me nuts too. My biggest pet peeve has to be people who don’t re-rack their weights. It’s not that hard to put the dumbbells back where you found them. I once spent five minutes looking for a matching 15-pound dumbbell because someone left it under the bench!

Totally agree, Sophia. Re-racking weights should be Gym Etiquette 101. For me, it’s people who talk loudly on their phones. Like, I’m trying to focus on my set, and someone’s having a full-blown conversation about their weekend plans right next to me.

Oh, Ethan, the loud talkers are the worst! I’d add people who don’t wipe down equipment after using it. It’s just gross. I always carry my own towel and sanitizer, but it’s still frustrating when people ignore basic hygiene.

Oh wow, Olivia, I 100% feel you on that one! I once saw a guy finish a full sweat-drenched session on the bench and just walk away like nothing happened.
I had to wipe it down before even thinking of using it. Basic courtesy, people!

Yup, hygiene is a big one. But my biggest pet peeve is when people stand way too close to me while I’m lifting. Like, dude, personal space! I’m already nervous about my form, and now I have to worry about accidentally whacking you with a dumbbell? Back up a little!

Mason, I feel you, bro. Another thing that gets to me is people who drop weights super loudly. I get it—heavy lifting is intense, but if you have to throw the weights down like Thor’s hammer, maybe it’s too much for you.

Steel, that reminds me of another one—grunters. Look, I respect the effort, but if you’re out here sounding like a wild animal in distress, maybe tone it down a bit.

Dario, man, the grunters get me every time!
I swear some people are louder than the gym’s music. Speaking of that, does anyone else get annoyed when someone starts blasting their own playlist out loud? Like, buddy, we all have headphones—use them!
