Progress check - 6 months of proper strength training, here's what actually changed

Important question - how are your joints and recovery feeling? I rushed my progression early on and paid for it. Hoping you've been kinder to yourself than I was.

Really good, because I kept the form strict and added weight slowly. I filmed my lifts the whole way, which kept my ego in check and my back happy. Slow was the right call.

That's exactly the discipline I lacked. Filming and patient loading is how you get six months of uninterrupted progress instead of three months and an injury. Well done.

Chiming in to say it's great seeing this. Strength training genuinely changes how people carry themselves, and threads like this get more women to try it. Brilliant work and keep going.

Thank you all so much. Honestly this corner of the forum is part of why I stuck with it. Onto the next six months - going for a double bodyweight deadlift by the end of the year.
