Do You Really Need a Warm-Up Before Every Workout?
Re: Do You Really Need a Warm-Up Before Every Workout?
I’ve found that exercise-specific warm-up sets are probably the most useful part for me. When I’m benching, I’ll start with the bar, add weight gradually, and pay attention to how everything feels before going heavy.

I think people sometimes make warm-ups way too complicated. You don’t need a 30-minute routine with 15 different exercises before every session. A little general movement, some mobility if you need it, and a few progressively heavier sets usually gets me ready. The goal is to feel prepared—not exhausted before the workout even starts.
