I stopped buying most of the “extra” supplements. My grocery bill was already high enough.

Magnesium is one I've kept around, mostly because I like having a consistent evening routine. I'm not expecting it to transform my physique overnight, but I prefer being intentional about the basics of recovery rather than constantly chasing another performance product.

For long sessions, electrolytes definitely help me stay on track.

I’ve actually become more skeptical of supplements this year. If something promises faster muscle growth, better sleep, more energy, perfect recovery, and fat loss all in one bottle, I'm probably walking away. Give me transparent ingredients and realistic claims instead.

My stack changes depending on my training.

I mostly rely on food and use supplements to fill practical gaps. Protein powder for convenience, creatine consistently, and electrolytes when training conditions call for them. That's been much more sustainable for me than constantly adding something new every few weeks.

Pre-workout is probably the one I enjoy the most, even though I know I don't technically need it. There’s just something about that scoop, headphones on, and walking into the gym ready to work.

That’s a pretty realistic stack. I think a lot of people eventually end up simplifying after realizing consistency matters more than having a complicated supplement routine.

The biggest thing I've learned is that supplements should support your habits, not replace them. If your training is inconsistent, your meals are all over the place, and you're sleeping five hours a night, adding another expensive powder probably isn't going to solve the problem. Get the foundation right first, then figure out what actually helps you.
