If you could only choose one supplement, what would it be?

Whey protein, no question. 💪 It’s convenient, especially post-workout when I don’t have time to cook a full meal. But I still try to get most of my protein from whole foods—chicken, eggs, and steak.

I get that, but real food beats supplements every time. Whole foods have more nutrients, better absorption, and don’t come with artificial junk. If I had to pick one supplement, though, it’d be creatine—it’s backed by tons of research.

I’m with @MasonTaylor on this one. I used to rely too much on protein shakes, but since I switched to mostly whole foods, I feel way better—better digestion, better skin, even better energy. That said, I still use BCAAs during workouts for endurance.

I think it depends on lifestyle. Some of us don’t have time to prep six meals a day, so supplements help fill the gaps. But yeah, if I had to choose one, it’d be fish oil—great for joints and overall health.

I feel like people overthink supplements. At the end of the day, food should come first. I see guys spending $200 on powders but skipping real meals. If you’re eating whole, nutrient-dense foods, you don’t need half the stuff on the market.

I get what you’re saying, but some stuff is hard to get from food alone. Like, how many people actually eat enough omega-3s from fish every day? Or enough creatine from red meat? Supplements make sense if you use them smartly, not as a crutch.

For women, I think iron and vitamin D are underrated. I train hard, and when I wasn’t supplementing properly, my energy was terrible. Supplements aren’t just about muscle building—they also fill nutritional gaps.

Exactly! People think of supplements as just protein and pre-workout, but things like electrolytes and magnesium make a huge difference, especially for recovery.
