For muscle building? Creatine and whey. Cheap, effective, and proven.

For overall health? Vitamin D and fish oil. Most people are deficient in these, and they help with recovery, joints, and immune function.

For women? Iron if you’re active (especially if you’re low-carb) and magnesium for muscle recovery.

Conclusion: Supplements aren’t necessary, but they can help. Just don’t use them to replace real food!
