Don’t forget deload weeks. Even one lighter week every 6–8 weeks keeps me from frying my glutes completely.

Switching rep ranges helps too. I rotate heavy 6–8 rep sets with lighter 12–15s. Different stimulus, less overall strain.

Also check your form. Sometimes “overtraining” is just bad loading patterns. I had to fix my squat form so quads and hammies shared the work.

Mini bands before compounds. Warm-up activation gets the glutes firing so I don’t have to overload crazy heavy later.

Love that idea—I usually skip activation. You might add some band walks before hip thrusts and see how it feels.

End of the day, train smart. Intensity + recovery = growth. Don’t chase volume just because you love the burn.

Exactly. Remember, muscles don’t grow while you train, they grow while you recover. Think long game, not just short-term pump.
