What’s One Supplement You Stopped Buying—and Why?

The supplement industry keeps dropping new products, flashy formulas, and fitness influencers promoting the next big thing. But after spending money on different powders, capsules, and pre-workouts, many lifters eventually realize that not every supplement deserves a permanent spot in their gym bag.
Some products didn't deliver the results they expected, while others were simply overpriced compared to what they could get from regular food, proper training, and recovery. In 2026, more gym-goers seem interested in keeping their supplement routine simple instead of buying every trending product. 💪
I'm curious what you've personally cut out of your supplement stack. Was it an expensive pre-workout, BCAAs, fat burners, or something else that just wasn't worth the money?

I stopped buying BCAAs a while ago. Once I started hitting my daily protein target through food and whey, they didn't seem worth the extra cost.

Fat burners were a waste of money for me. A calorie deficit and daily steps worked much better. 🔥

I dropped expensive pre-workouts. A decent coffee does the job for me without spending crazy money every month.

Mass gainers are something I don't buy anymore. Most of them were loaded with calories I could easily get from homemade shakes, oats, peanut butter, milk, and regular meals. I'd rather know exactly what's going into my food than keep paying extra for a fancy tub.

I quit buying random testosterone booster supplements. The marketing sounds impressive, but I wasn't convinced the results justified the price. I'd rather put that money toward quality groceries and proper recovery.
