Ever Push Through an Injury and Regret It?

Few weeks back my shoulder felt off, but I kept lifting heavy anyway. Now I’m sidelined for a month. Anyone else learn this the hard way?

Tore my hamstring in a meet warm-up doing exactly that. Lost 4 months of training. Dumbest thing I’ve done.

Same here. Ignored elbow pain for weeks… now I can’t even do chin-ups without wincing.

Lesson learned: kept benching on a pec strain → turned into a partial tear + expensive PT.

I did it with my lower back once. It took me a year to get pain-free again. Not worth it.

My coach says, “Pain is feedback, not a challenge.” It took me too long to get that.

These days I just work around the pain instead of stopping completely. Way better than sitting on the sidelines.

Shoulder injuries are the worst. Can’t press, can’t pull, even sleep sucks.
