Deadlifts build strength but can also lead to back pain. How do you keep your back safe during heavy lifts?

I swear by hip hinge drills before every deadlift session. My lower back thanks me!

Core strength is key. I do planks religiously, and my deadlift form has improved dramatically.

Does anyone else feel like sumo deadlifts are easier on the lower back compared to conventional?

I tried sumo, but I struggle with hip mobility. Any stretches you’d recommend?

Foam rolling my lower back has been a lifesaver before heavy lifting sessions.

I used to round my back during deadlifts, and it cost me weeks of recovery time. Never again!

Does anyone use lifting belts consistently? I feel like they help, but I don’t want to rely on them too much.

I think lifting belts are fine for max lifts, but they shouldn’t replace good form.

My coach always says, “Slow and controlled wins the race.” It’s true for deadlifts!
