💊 Do You Prefer a Minimal Supplement Stack or a Full Performance Stack?

Post by BeastTomm »

I’ve been thinking about whether a supplement stack actually needs to be complicated to support serious training. A minimal setup might be something like protein powder when needed, creatine, and maybe caffeine or electrolytes depending on the workout. A full performance stack can add pre-workout formulas, intra-workout products, recovery supplements, and other extras.
For me, the interesting part is figuring out what actually makes a noticeable difference versus what just makes the supplement cabinet look impressive. Training, nutrition, sleep, and recovery still do most of the heavy lifting. 💪 The goal isn’t necessarily to take more—it’s to know why you’re taking something and whether it fits your goals.

I’m definitely team minimal. If I can’t explain why I’m taking a supplement, it probably doesn’t need to be in my stack. 😂

Creatine, protein powder when my food comes up short, and caffeine before certain sessions is pretty much my setup. I’d rather spend the money on quality food and actually stay consistent with my training.

I used to have a whole shelf of tubs and bottles thinking more products meant better performance. Eventually I realized I couldn’t even tell what half of them were doing. Now I keep the basics around and put more attention into calories, protein, sleep, and progressive overload. That change made my routine way simpler. 🔥

That’s where I’m at too. I’d rather have a few things that serve a clear purpose than take 8 different products just because someone online says they’re part of a “pro stack.” Simple is easier to track and easier on the wallet.

Minimal stack for me. Less guessing, less money burned. 💯

I can see the appeal of a bigger stack during a serious training block, especially when someone has specific performance or recovery goals, but I think people sometimes add supplements before fixing the basics. If your sleep is trash and your diet is all over the place,

My stack is pretty boring, and honestly I like it that way. 😂

Same. I’d rather know exactly what I’m taking and why.

I think context matters a lot. Someone doing high-volume training may have different needs than someone lifting three days a week, and someone sweating through long sessions may care more about hydration and electrolytes. I don’t think a giant stack is automatically better—it just has to make sense for the person using it. 💪
