Look, I get pushing heavy weight… but some dudes sound like they’re giving birth. Is this a powerlifting thing or a personality trait?

Some of it is legit bracing. Heavy squats and deads, noise happens. But yeah… some dudes are definitely doing way too much.

I swear there’s always one guy who sounds like he’s fighting a bear on every rep, even during warm-ups.

It’s half powerlifting technique, half ego. The quiet strong guys are usually the scariest ones.

I don’t mind a grunt on a max attempt. But yelling on cable curls? That’s just a personality trait.

Low-key think some people do it for attention. Same dudes dropping weights from 2 inches off the floor.

Depends on the gym too. Hardcore gyms = normal. Commercial gym at 6am = everyone judging you.
