I used to feel intimidated lifting heavy with the guys around. Any advice for women who want to feel confident and own their space in the gym?

Honestly, most guys aren’t judging they’re too busy worrying about their own lifts. Walk in with a plan and confidence follows.

Headphones help a lot. Once you’re locked into your music and your workout, the rest of the room kind of disappears.

The strongest women in my gym lift heavy and don’t apologize for it. You belong there just as much as anyone else.

Wear what makes you comfortable, not what you think others expect. Comfort = better lifts = more confidence.

Start in less crowded hours if it helps. Once you get comfortable with movements, peak times won’t feel intimidating anymore.

I’ve found most lifters are actually supportive when they see someone taking training seriously, regardless of gender.

This helps a lot. Sounds like confidence comes from focusing on my own progress and not overthinking the room. Appreciate all the solid advice
