Honestly the trick that saved me was sauces and spice, not new proteins. Same chicken or beef but rotate marinades - peri peri, teriyaki, jerk, curry. The protein is identical, the meal feels different every night.

This. Meal prep boredom is usually a seasoning problem, not a protein problem. I cook the protein plain in bulk then flavour portions differently through the week.

That's actually a really good point, I've been seasoning everything the same way out of laziness.

Quick numbers if it helps: a day could be 3 eggs (18g), 200g Greek yogurt (20g), a whey shake (25g), 200g cottage cheese (24g), and a 200g beef or pork dinner (45g+). You're nearly there without a scrap of chicken.

That genuinely sounds doable and not depressing. Cottage cheese, tinned fish, pork loin and better seasoning is my plan. Appreciate it everyone.

Good luck. Variety is what makes the diet stick long term, so spending a bit of effort here pays off more than people think.
