I keep it simple: lift hard, walk daily, and add cardio when recovery allows. Balance beats burnout every time. 💪

That’s what I’m trying to figure out too—how to get the benefits of cardio without piling on so much fatigue that my strength sessions suffer. I’m realizing that the right amount probably depends on my recovery, training intensity, and what I’m trying to improve. 💯

I’ve started treating cardio as part of my overall fitness instead of just a calorie-burning tool. Strength training gives me the muscle and power side, while steady-state cardio helps me build endurance. The combination feels more well-rounded than lifting alone.

I do 10–15 minutes of easy cardio after lifting. Nothing crazy, just enough to stay moving. 🚶‍♂️

I schedule my week around recovery instead of just cramming in as many sessions as possible. Two lower-body days, two upper-body days, and a couple of easy cardio sessions give me enough structure without making every day exhausting. I also pay attention to how my legs feel before deciding whether I’m doing a normal cardio session or just taking a walk. Consistency has been much easier since I stopped trying to win every workout. 🔥

I’m focusing on strength first, then adding short conditioning sessions when I have the energy. Sled pushes, rowing, and moderate bike work keep things interesting. I’ve learned that I don’t need to destroy myself with cardio to feel like I got a good workout.

Incline treadmill walks are my go-to. Easy on my joints and I can still recover from leg day. 🙌

I’m doing a hybrid-style routine right now, with 3 lifting days and 3 running sessions at different intensities. The trick has been keeping most of my runs easy instead of turning every one into a race. When I tried going hard on everything, my legs were always tired and my lifts started feeling flat. Now I’m more intentional about recovery and how I schedule my toughest sessions. 🏃‍♂️

I’ve been leaning toward putting easy cardio after upper-body days and keeping my leg days focused on lifting. I like the idea of building strength while still improving my stamina, rather than treating cardio as something I have to squeeze in randomly. 💪

My sweet spot is three strength days, two cardio days, and plenty of walking. I’m not chasing a personal record every session, so I can push my conditioning without constantly feeling beat up.
