Eating enough carbs before training has helped me push harder, especially on leg days.

I’d rather be ahead because bodybuilding already requires enough discipline. There’s no trophy for suffering more during the final two weeks. 90/90 hip switches are probably my favorite. My hips feel much less stiff afterward, especially on lower-body days.

Protein depends on my food that day. If I already hit my protein goal through meals, I don't bother with a shake.

I think there's a balance. A timer is useful for consistency, but I wouldn't sacrifice performance just to hit some exact rest number. If I need another minute before a heavy set, I'm taking it.

I did 12 weeks my first time and honestly wish I'd started sooner. I got lean enough, but the final few weeks were rough because there wasn't much room left to make adjustments.

Romanian deadlifts. My hamstrings, glutes, and lower back all improved once I started taking them seriously.

The biggest lesson I learned was not to leave posing until the last minute. I thought I could just learn it a few weeks before the show, but presenting your physique properly takes practice just like lifting does.
