💪 Strength + Mobility: Is This the Best Training Combo for Real-Life Fitness?
Re: 💪 Strength + Mobility: Is This the Best Training Combo for Real-Life Fitness?
The older I get, the more I care about movement quality.

I’d add conditioning to that combo too. Strength and mobility give you a great foundation, but being able to walk uphill, run a few miles, recover between efforts, and still have energy at the end of the day makes the whole thing feel much more “real life.”

That’s a good point about conditioning. I think the bigger goal is being capable instead of just being good at gym movements. Strength, mobility, and some kind of cardio probably cover a lot of bases without needing a crazy complicated program.

Absolutely. I’d rather have usable strength than a huge bench PR that doesn’t translate anywhere else.

One thing that helped me was keeping mobility short and consistent instead of doing one giant mobility session once a week. Ten minutes here and there adds up, especially when I focus on the areas that actually limit my lifts or everyday movement.

Strong + mobile + conditioned = a body you can actually use. That’s the goal.
