Protect Your Joints While Lifting: What Do You Do?
Lifting heavy is great, but joint pain is starting to creep especially elbows and shoulders. I’m looking forward to training hard without wrecking my joints long-term.
What do you guys do to keep your joints healthy? Warm-ups? Supplements? Lifting techniques?
I would love to hear what’s worked for you, especially if you’ve been lifting for a while.

Always warm up with light weights first. Never go straight into heavy sets cold shoulders will hate you for it.

Drop ego lifts. Perfect form > big numbers. Bad form wrecked my elbows early on.

Turmeric + collagen protein has helped my knees big time. Thought it was BS but felt better after 3 weeks.

I rotate exercises weekly. Keeps joints fresh. If incline bench bugs my shoulder, I swap to machine or dumbbells.

Train smart. At 50+, I still lift heavy, but I warm up like it’s a workout on its own. No shortcuts.
