For me, recovery starts outside the gym. If I’m sleeping five hours, eating randomly, and stressing all day, I can’t expect my body to perform like I’m fully recovered.

That’s a big one. Training can be solid, but if your recovery habits are trash, eventually the fatigue catches up with you.

I also think people underestimate mobility. I started adding a little hip, ankle, and T-spine work before lifting, and my squat setup feels much cleaner now.

I stopped treating every workout like a test of toughness. Some days are for pushing numbers, some are for quality reps, and some are just about getting good movement in. That change has helped me stay healthy without feeling like I’m backing off my goals.

My rule is simple: soreness is one thing, sharp or unusual pain is another. I don't try to prove anything by ignoring a signal that keeps getting worse.

Exactly. The goal isn't just to have one monster workout—it’s being able to come back and train again next week. Long-term consistency wins.
