When do you load up on carbs? Debate the best timing for energy and recovery

Pre all the way. I need fuel in the tank. Bagel + jam an hour before lifts = game changer.

I go lighter pre, bigger post. Sweet potato after leg day feels like recovery magic.

I used to think post was most important, but now I load carbs both sides. Helps my strength + recovery.

Science says total intake matters more than timing. But yeah, pre carbs give me more consistent workouts.

For me, pre carbs make me sluggish. I prefer a protein shake before, then big carb meal after.

Post is king. Muscles are primed to absorb glycogen after training. Skipping post carbs = slower recovery.

Agree, Robert. I notice soreness lingers when I delay post carbs.

Pre carbs = performance. Post carbs = recovery. Why not do both?

Exactly. I eat oats pre, rice post. Simple and effective.
