I'm team longer prep all day. Better to make gradual changes and keep your workouts productive than chase a scale number every week. 📈

Twelve weeks isn't automatically bad, but it isn't a magic timeline either.

My biggest focus would be muscle retention. I'd rather lose fat at a manageable pace, keep my compound lifts as strong as possible, and monitor my physique instead of making drastic changes just because show day is getting closer. Looking depleted and exhausted isn't the goal.

Longer prep gives you breathing room, but it still needs structure. Too much time in a calorie deficit can wear you down too, so I'd plan around realistic progress and recovery instead of assuming longer always means better. 🔥

I'm all for starting early. Less panic, fewer extreme cardio sessions, and more time to dial in posing. That's a win in my book. 🏆

The best prep is the one that gets you stage-ready without wrecking your health or throwing away hard-earned muscle. If you're already lean, 12 weeks might work; if you're starting further out, give yourself more runway. Plan the process instead of trying to beat the clock. 💯
