Lifting on Your Period – Power Through or Take a Break?
Some days during my cycle I feel fine, other days the cramps are brutal, and I can barely move. Curious how other women handle training during that time do you still hit the gym and just scale back or prefer to rest until it passes?

If the pain’s bad, rest. No point forcing a workout when your body’s clearly asking for recovery.

I usually still go, just lower the intensity. Lifting light actually helps with cramps for me gets the blood flowing and eases tension.

I train through it unless it’s one of those “curl up and die” days
. But I’ll swap heavy squats for something like walking lunges or machines.

Yeah same here some cycles are fine, but others hit like a truck. I hate losing momentum though.

That’s interesting, I’ve noticed that too! PRs sometimes come right before my cycle starts.

Light cardio and stretching help me more than lifting heavy during that week. It keeps me active without overdoing it.

Every bodies different. Just track your cycles, adjust when needed, and don’t guilt yourself for resting. It’s still part of the process.
