Are You Actually Staying Hydrated or Just Chugging Water?
Are You Actually Staying Hydrated or Just Chugging Water?
Noticed lately that when I slack on hydration, my pumps and recovery drop off hard. I’m seeing a lot of lifters pushing electrolytes, pink salt, and hydration mixes instead of just plain water. How do you guys handle hydration during training — just water, or do you add anything to keep performance up?

Half a gallon pre-lift, half during the day. No fancy stuff, just consistency.

Electrolytes 100% help. I started using LMNT during workouts night and day difference in endurance and cramp prevention.

Too many people overdrink plain water and end up flushing minerals. Adding sodium + potassium made a huge difference for me. My pumps last longer and I don’t gas out halfway through legs anymore.

Hydration isn’t just about water intake it’s timing too. Sipping throughout the day > chugging before the gym. Electrolytes are solid if you sweat heavy or train in heat.

I drink close to 1.5 gallons a day but add electrolytes to one bottle. Keeps me from feeling flat. Pumps and energy are way better once minerals are balanced.

Same here. Hydration’s the most underrated “supplement” out there. Most people are under-fueled and under-hydrated without realizing it.
