Is the New Gym Etiquette Just… No Etiquette?

Post by BeastTomm »

My gym’s been PACKED lately and nobody reracks anything anymore. Dumbbells everywhere like it’s a scavenger hunt. Is this just the new normal or am I getting old?

Nah bro, you’re not crazy. Gym etiquette is basically extinct now. It’s every man for himself out there.

Same at my spot. Plates left on every machine like someone rage-quit mid-set. You gotta clean up before you can even start training.

For real though, I blame the new TikTok crowd. They use 5 different dumbbells for one “superset” and leave them like breadcrumbs across the gym.

Exactly! I literally walked around for 5 minutes trying to find matching 30s. It felt like a cardio session before my actual workout.

Bro that’s the worst. You find one dumbbell on one side of the gym and the other one is chilling under a bench like it’s hiding from taxes.

My gym staff stopped caring too. They used to call people out. Now they just shrug and say “yeah it gets busy.” Like bro… enforce something.

Honestly I’ve started training early mornings just to avoid the chaos. 6am crew actually has manners.

Morning sessions might be the move… evening crowd at my gym is basically a daycare with dumbbells.

Someone said “daycare” 😂 But yeah, people treat the gym like their living room now. No respect for equipment or other lifters.
