How Long Are Your Workouts?

Post by Dnk567 »

Some guys smash it in 45 min; others camp in the gym for 2 hours. What’s the sweet spot for size and strength?

About 60–75 minutes for me. Once I go past that, intensity drops and I’m just going through the motions.

Heavy days are closer to 90 minutes, especially legs or back. Short sessions never felt enough for those.

45–50 minutes works fine if I’m focused and not scrolling between sets. Quality > time.

Used to do 2-hour workouts when I was younger. Progress actually got better once I trimmed the junk volume.

If you’re natural, super long workouts usually hurt recovery more than help.

I train early mornings, so an hour max. Still growing as long as effort and food are on point.

Sounds like most of us land around that 60–90 min range depending on the day. Makes sense focus and recovery matter more than just time spent in the gym.

60-75 minutes is the sweet spot for most people. After that testosterone drops and cortisol spikes which actually works against you.

Someone in another thread shared this tool and I tried it, pretty useful for seeing how your training is actually paying off in terms of muscle mass.
