Good call, I'd probably have just eaten whatever was at the venue.

Rookie trap. Pack everything. You don't want to be hunting for food backstage at 7am running on nerves.

Tan. Get a professional comp tan and do your coats exactly as instructed. A bad DIY tan can wash out all the detail you spent months earning under the lights. It genuinely matters more than people expect.

And sleep the week of. You won't sleep great the night before from nerves, so bank it earlier in the week. A rested look on stage beats a stressed flat one every time.

Last thing - enjoy it. First show is about learning the process and getting your stage legs. Whatever you place, you'll come back smarter. Don't let peak week stress rob you of the experience.

This is exactly what I needed. Scheduling a practice peak, posing daily, no crazy water cut, packing my own food, proper tan. Thank you all, feeling a lot less panicked.

You'll do great. Come back and tell us how it goes - first show reports are the best ones to read.
