I usually rotate between chicken breast, lean beef, turkey, salmon, eggs, Greek yogurt, and beans. That keeps my grocery list pretty simple while still giving me enough variety.

My biggest hack is changing sauces and seasonings.
One week I’ll do buffalo chicken bowls, then teriyaki, then fajita-style. I can eat the same basic ingredients without feeling like I’m stuck on a bodybuilding meal plan.

I don’t really count every gram anymore. I just make sure every meal has a decent protein source and then adjust portions based on whether I’m cutting, maintaining, or trying to gain. That approach has been much easier for me to stick with long term.

I like that approach. I used to stress over hitting an exact number every single day, but now I’m more focused on being consistent across the whole week. Makes eating way less stressful.

Meal prep on Sunday is huge for me. I’ll cook two proteins, one carb, and a bunch of vegetables, then mix everything differently throughout the week. It takes a little time upfront, but it keeps me from ordering takeout when I get home from the gym starving.

For me, the key was realizing I don’t need some crazy “fitness meal” for every meal. I’ll eat eggs and toast for breakfast, a chicken or turkey bowl for lunch, salmon or lean beef for dinner, and Greek yogurt or a shake if I need something extra. I still get the protein I’m aiming for, but I can actually enjoy my food and stick with it.
