Alright, for those of you who’ve competed before—what’s something you wish you knew before stepping on stage for the first time?

Bro… peak week will humble you. I thought I’d look shredded, but I messed up my carb load and looked like a puffy marshmallow instead.

opps Ethan, I feel you. I made the mistake of drinking too much water the night before my first show, thinking it would help, and I ended up looking soft instead of defined. Lesson learned: trust the process and don’t try last-minute fixes.

Peak week is wild, but posing was my real enemy. First time on stage, my legs were SHAKING like crazy. I thought I was gonna fall over.

Jake, same here! People don’t realize how hard posing actually is. You’re holding a flex, smiling, and trying not to pass out from dehydration all at the same time. 😂

And the stage lights make it even worse! My first comp, I legit couldn’t see the judges because the lights were so bright. I was just hoping I was facing the right way.

The stage experience is one thing, but no one prepared me for the post-show blues. You go from months of strict routine to suddenly… nothing. Felt so weird.

Ugh, I felt that. I went straight into "eat everything in sight" mode after my first show and regretted it immediately. My energy crashed, my weight shot up, and I felt terrible.
