I’ve done both approaches at different times. Tracking can be really helpful when you’re trying to lose body fat, gain muscle, or figure out why your weight isn’t moving the way you expected. It definitely makes you more aware of how much you’re actually eating, especially with foods that are easy to underestimate.
At the same time, I don’t think everyone wants to spend their whole life weighing chicken and measuring rice.
I’m curious what everyone else does. Do you track your calories and macros every day, track only when you have a specific fitness goal, or just keep your portions under control and go by how you feel? And has your approach changed as you’ve gotten more experienced in the gym?
