At my gym, I’m seeing people get solid results with both. Some lifters swear by push/pull/legs or upper/lower splits, while others are making great progress with 3-day full-body sessions. The biggest thing seems to be choosing a setup you can recover from and actually stick with week after week.

💪 Full-Body vs. Split Training: What’s Working Better at Your Gym?
There’s always a debate over whether full-body workouts or split routines are better, but honestly, it comes down to your goals, schedule, recovery, and how well you can stay consistent. Full-body training can be clutch if you only have a few days to lift because you’re hitting multiple muscle groups each session without needing to live in the gym. Split routines, on the other hand, give you more room to hammer specific muscle groups with extra volume and focused work.

I switched to full-body three days a week and honestly, my consistency has improved a lot because I’m not stressing about missing one specific muscle day.

I’ve tried both, and I think the best routine is the one that fits your schedule and lets you progressively overload without constantly feeling beat up. Recovery matters just as much as the split itself.

Upper/lower is my sweet spot right now.

I like splits because I can really focus on a muscle instead of rushing through five different body parts in one session.

Full-body makes way more sense for my schedule since I can lift Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and still get plenty of recovery between sessions. I’ve been adding reps and weight steadily without feeling like I need to spend two hours in the gym every day.

I think people overcomplicate this stuff sometimes. If your weekly volume, effort, exercise selection, nutrition, and recovery are on point, either setup can work really well.
