Protein and overall calories have been huge for me. I was training hard while accidentally eating too little, so my strength basically stalled. Once I started fueling properly, the difference was pretty obvious.

I used to skip warm-ups completely, but after a couple of rough sessions I started doing light cardio plus a few movement drills. I feel much better going into my working sets now.

For me, it’s been heavier compound movements with lower reps. My squat and bench have both gone up quite a bit this year.

Incline dumbbell press. I switched from flat barbell bench a while ago because it feels much better on my shoulders. I've still made solid chest gains, and I don't finish every push day with aching joints anymore. It's one of those movements I actually look forward to doing every week.
