With so many new programs out there, I’m curious which old-school approach you’ve stuck with because it still delivers.

Straight sets and progressive overload. Nothing fancy, just adding weight over time still works.

High-volume push/pull/legs. Old-school volume but with smarter recovery.

Rest-pause sets. Don’t use them every workout, but they’re great for breaking plateaus.

Heavy compounds first, isolation later. Been doing that since day one and never felt the need to change it.

Basic 5x5 style training. Simple, effective, and easy to track progress.

Occasional HIT-style intensity days. Short sessions, all-out effort still brutal.

Love how most of these are just simple principles done consistently. Guess the basics really don’t go out of style.
