I’ve also stopped judging progress only by the plates on the bar. Better range of motion, cleaner technique, stronger reps, and less rest between sets can all show that you’re getting fitter even when the number on the bar hasn’t changed.

Sleep is probably my biggest weak point. I can have the perfect program and still have a terrible workout if I’m running on five hours of sleep. When I actually get enough rest and eat properly, the same weights feel noticeably easier. That recovery piece gets overlooked way too much in my opinion.
